Gauge by Elyon · Workshop-ready

Quote to invoice, before the keys go back.

Gauge is one app for the whole auto repair shop: build the quote beside the car, photograph the damage, and issue the invoice the moment the work is done.

A sample Gauge screen. The job board shows four stages: Quote draft, Quote sent, Approved, and In progress. One approved job is open: a sedan found by its VIN, three damage photos, and quote lines with a cost and a price each. Beside it, the issued invoice shows the subtotal, sales tax, and total, and a margin that only the shop sees. Sample job. Figures are illustrative.
What it does

Four things a shop has to get right.

Board

Every car, every stage.

The whole floor on one screen: what's in, where it stands, and what it's worth, from quote draft to finished job.

History

History that stays with the car.

Records follow the VIN, not the plate, so nothing is lost when plates or owners change.

Invoices

Invoices that add up, every time.

US sales tax is calculated once and correctly, numbering never skips, and an issued invoice is final.

Margin

Know what every job made.

Cost and price sit on every line. You see the margin, and your customer never does.

How a shop uses it

One job, start to finish.

  1. 01

    Check-in

The car rolls in. Look it up by VIN, and any past work at your shop comes up with it.

  2. 02

    Quote

Build the quote beside the car, line by line, with photos of the damage attached.

  3. 03

    Approval

When the customer says yes, the job moves from Quote sent to Approved on the board.

  4. 04

    Invoice

Finish the work and issue the invoice at the counter, with tax and numbering already handled.

What it replaces

What Gauge takes off the desk.

The appointment book

The job board shows what's booked, what's in the bay, and what's waiting on a yes.

The contact list

Customers and their vehicles sit together, so the right phone number is always next to the right car.

The shoebox of receipts

Every invoice is numbered, taxed, and kept in one place you can search.

Common questions about Gauge

What is Gauge?

Gauge is an app for auto repair shops, built by Elyon. It brings quotes, damage photos, a job board, vehicle history by VIN, invoices, and job margins into one place.

How does Gauge handle sales tax and invoice numbers?

Gauge calculates US sales tax for you and numbers every invoice in sequence with no gaps. Once an invoice is issued, it's final.

Can customers see my margins?

No. Gauge records the cost and the price on every line so you can see what each job made, but the margin shows only on your side, never on anything the customer receives.

How can my shop get Gauge?

Gauge is built and ready for workshops, and there's no public sign-up yet. Email connect@elelyonlabs.com to ask for a walkthrough.
